About Us
Memory Systems for HPC and AI
The Barcelona Supercomputing Center (BSC) hosts the Memory Systems for HPC and AI research team. For over a decade, our research has addressed challenges in designing and optimizing next-generation memory systems for large-scale computing.
In state-of-the-art high-performance computing and AI architectures, memory systems play a crucial role in determining overall performance. They have also become major contributors to power demands, energy consumption, and operational costs of large-scale infrastructures.
Our work spans memory benchmarking and simulation, performance prediction, processing in memory, and DRAM reliability—all aimed at making future computing more efficient and reliable.
